What watch do you wear?

This has been on the wrist and winder for the past 6 weeks and only gained 19 seconds.

It seems to run about 0.4 sec/day fast on winder, but when it’s feeling warmer on my wrist it runs about 2.5 sec/day fast. Strange.

I wear my Rolex DSSD most days, and it’s only gained 6 seconds in the same amount of time.

I love seeing all the cool watches. The one problem I have is that you cannot get replacement bands for the older ones. I have an old Seiko on which the hinge in the clasp broke, but they don't make a band for it any more. Found a silver clasp which is one size too large, but the watch repair shop managed to connect it to my black watch band.

Have an older Victorinox Excursion which has a notched area for connecting the band. Went to a few watch stores and they told me they cannot get replacements. Original bands are sold out online. Bought a cheap stainless steel band in black and used a file to grind the band connector down to 15 millimeters to attach it. A sloppy fit, but it will do for now. 15 mm spring bars or OEM replacement rod & tube connectors are not easy to get, either. Don't want to retire a perfectly good watch because I can't get a band for it.

What size/model Seiko band do you need? There are a bunch out there that folks will suggest in either a strap, a NATO band or a bracelet.

I just seached "Victorinox Excursion band" and there are a bunch for sale.

And since this is photo thread here's a Bulova Devil Diver on a Speedmaster reduced bracelet from Uncle Seiko. So anything is possible.

Again very nice jbmonkey. no pic from me but own a Seiko SRPA-83 which I am sure fans here have seen. Bit big at 50 case size but the blue dials and shiny bezel blew me away. Should be a hit with collectors down the road as they quit making them I read. Seen em going for $600 lately in new condition.

I was in a ranting mood the day of my post. :D

The identification numbers on my Seiko don't show up on their Model search. It must have been discontinued a while ago. The Excursion has a 15 mm space for the band which is pretty narrow for a straight band. The original bands had what looked like a podium on the ends and got wider after a few millimeters. I have serviceable bands on the Victorinox, Caravelle, and Seiko for now. Thanks for the suggestion.
