The whole series is great IMHO!

I think the 656 has been discontinued and they now have the 556A (same as the 556 but with the 3, 6,9,12 on the face like the 656). The 856 UTC is also now available without the UTC; so it also looks like the 656.

Here's my 856 UTC:

Yeah, I haven't really checked Sinn's lineup since I bought my 656. The only difference between the 656 and 556A that I can see, is the "made in germany" at the 6'o clock position on the 556A.

I really like it, great fit and finish, he does top notch work. The model I have is a replica of the watch James Bond wore in the early films. Sadly no Q gadgets are included

From '82-'12 I wore a Rolex 5513 (no-date matte-dial sub) but Rolex Submariners have become so ubiquitous that I just switched to a Rolex 114270 (Explorer I). I've owned Rolex models with a date (Sea-Dwellers, Sub's, Etc.) but have come to find the date function a nuisance that gets in the way.
