Here are a few random photos of what we make with burl. Kind of unusual stuff but lots of fun. Sorry about the crummy photos. Comments are welcome.

Amazing work! I have never seen burl bikes. Those are neat thanks for sharing.

i wonder if it would be worth buying the bench and cutting it up and salling it as burl scales? um..hum...--marekz

I have had similar thoughts in the past. Fortunately my boss gets me whatever burl I need. Last month I got a truck and trailer full of the buckeye with more to come next month. We use a lot of buckeye in our furniture since it is so dramatic. Benches like this one sell for 4-$6000 and actually sell pretty quickly.

This thread died a little while ago but I just had to comment on the bike and trike, those things are great. How big are they, what type of burl are they and how much would they go for?

My 9-5 job is a bicycle mechanic and my boss has this thing for oak and we tend to display interesting bike related objects. We currently have a hand made Penny Farthing (old style bike with the big front wheel) and a old road bike from the early 1900s with wooden wheels on display. I realy think he would go for something like the burl bikes. He really likes Fat Tire as well
