What will happen to the Insingo?

I was just thinking about the 25 and how I can't wait to get one but then I thought what will happen to the Insingo? The folks at CRK said they did not plan on having a small 25 as of yet so with the phase out of the 21 does this mean the Insingo will be gone as well? Let me know what you guys and gals think.

I wanted to get a small left hand Insingo but it was nowhere to be found so I dropped Heather a line hoping to place an order directly from CRK. I'll post here whatever I learn when I get a response.

I ordered a small lefty micarta Sebenza Insingo yesterday from Heather...she said it would be about a 6 month turn around.

It is my understanding that the insingo will be around for a while, but I ordered another one a while ago for safekeeping :D

They really are the perfect CRK EDC. I carry my small every day and it gets used for any knife related task I need. Well, this week we were in Napa so my Vic was called into action to open a bottle of wine but everything else goes to the small Insingo. Great knife and blade shape!.

I am loving my week old small Insingo w/micarta inlays! It is also my first CRK and definitely not my last. I don't think this one will be leaving my side pocket for a long time if ever. Shortly after getting it, I thought about selling it in order to buy a large Insingo. Since then, I've decided to keep it, and then eventually get the large as well (not to mention an Umnum, Ti-lock, 21, regular, annual, and 25). If there is any chance that CRK decides to discontinue the Insingo line, I would definitely like to pick one or two more up as back ups.

My main point was that since the 21 is being phased out will the Insingo blade used on the 25 or will it continue to be in the 21 pattern?

I would like to know this as well. A call to CRK would probably answer this question. Hopefully somebody here already made that call and will soon chime in about it here.

Im not taking any chances this time. I missed out getting a bunch of mint regulars.

So I recently ordered a large micarta insingo , small micarta insingo and a large plain insingo. All with double silver thumbstuds,

I should be set this time....

Yep,

I have 3 Micarta Insingo's now and plan on buying more.

Now THAT'S the way to do it!:D:thumbup:

I think I need more as well. My next purchase will either be a large micarta Insingo, or a Umnumzaan. I'm leaning more towards the large Insingo now because of this thread, and because the small micarta insingo is the best folder I've ever owned.

To those of you who own both a small and large insingo, which one do you prefer?

Small. I don't clip it, so it rides better than the large. 99% of anything I cut will not need the extra size. And I think, if I ever needed the extra size, I'd probably not be inclined to use that particular knife.

It's been a few days but so far no reply from Heather. I'm sure she's just busy. Will drop her another line next week and see what happens...

I just picked up a Large Insingo today so I'm set if it gets discontinued but I don't think it will.

Let's hope not. It seems like it just became widely available not too long ago. The insingo is one of the sexiest knives I've seen in a long time. I need to get another one. The large insingo micarta is my CRK grail knife.

It's a ridiculously good knife. I'm even thinking of forgoing a future CRK I've had in mind to purchase another Large Insigno with Micarta inlays

A large micarta Insingo used to be my grail CRK but then I realized I didn't really like the inlays so I just went with the plain Insingo. I feel like I am in the minority for not liking the inlays.
