What will happen to the Insingo?

I really want a large micarta insingo, but they are sold out everywhere that I've looked. I'm trying to decide between the large micarta insingo or the Umnumzaan.

A large micarta Insingo used to be my grail CRK but then I realized I didn't really like the inlays so I just went with the plain Insingo. I feel like I am in the minority for not liking the inlays.

Just curious why you didn't like the inlays? I was thinking about getting a small with inlays, not necessarily Insingo. Nearest place that actually has them to hold is a three hour drive for me. I've always wanted to try them, but I'm a lefty and can't find any smalls.

I placed an order on Tuesday for a small Micarta Insingo. They said a ~3 month wait.

I think that the OP posed a great question. There doesn't seen to be a lot of love at CRK for the Insingo. I called a couple of weeks ago to try and order a wood Inlaid Insingo and Heather stated that they would no longer do that. They only honored the few orders at the beginning. Something about they don't want to polish it. So if you are lucky enough to have gotten a wood inlaid Insingo, you may well have some of the rarest and Unique knives made by CRK.

All this talk about the Insingo makes me think that there might be a chance that the insingo will not be a long lasting CRK product.

I'm picking up my large plain jane insingo tommorrow, im so excited. I have a few sebbies right now but they are all safe queens from the pre 21 era, this is going to be my first user Sebbie and I couldn't be more excited.

That's awesome! Congrats!

Sebenzas are wonderful users by the by. I have a large Regular incoming and have every intent of using it just like my others. Of course that's just personal preference

Yeah im incredibly excited. Ive really pared down my collection a lot. I have alot of tacticool blades but the truth is I love all knives from william henry to daniel certo. I don't quite have the stones to use a Damascus sebbie, but i am really gonna try and push my OCD to the side and put the insingo through its paces. Every review I have read has been glowing and I thought finally.... this is it... this is my user sebbie so i saved up the scratch and pulled the trigger, all that's left is to go to the post office and pick it up.... the wait is killing me.

You'll love it. Atleast I do. I make myself carry other Sebenzas just for variety, but the Large Insigno w micarta is my top choice:thumbup:

I was going to get a damascus Sebenza as my next purchase, but couldn't pass up on a Large Regular

Anyway, hang in there and you'll have it in your hands soon enough. Enjoy and pics when you get it!:D

My Large Micarta Insingo is my grail CRK, too. It's my favorite knife I own. I hope I never lose mine if they quit making them!

The OE Sebenza I haven't owned is the Insingo. I don't know why because I love the it, even though I haven't used one, I have held hem and think its a great design. I need to get off my butt, sell some customs and just buy an Insingo, or two.

I highly recommend it, especially one with micarta inlays. Pics when you snag one! ;)

Someone who has multiples of the Small or Large Micarta Insingo needs to contact me and sell me one of theirs! I am dying to get my hands on my grail CRK! I know one of you fellow CRK collectors feels my pain here... :)

I absolutely love my large insingo micarta, i am literally finding any and every excuse to use it. This thing slices like a demon. I have thought about getting a small but the large just fits so perfect in hand. If you don't have one i highly suggest getting one before they are all gone.
