Due to the strict knife laws pushed through following the Gotham PD's arrest of The Joker carrying "nothing in his pockets except knives and lint" and still being able to cause so much havoc, Gotham lawmakers have inferred that it was indeed The Joker's scary OTF knives that were the root of all this anarchy and destruction. Bruce Wayne would carry nothing. Batman would be forced to round the edges of his gauntlets to no more than 1.5" in length and would be arrested on sight. Not because of vigilante justice but because Batarangs are classified as "Throwing Stars" under Gotham Article 14b-17543p.

Batman would have made his own knife, like everything else in his kit. It would have the option of being a ballistic knife, and as Crom said, would say "bat knife" on the handle.

If we want to play this game for Nolan/Bale Batman, any knife would either be made by Bale (like his throwing blades), made as a prototype by Fox's research division (Tumbler, suit, grappling hook gun) or a mass order to disguise its origins from a Chinese company (like the cowl and mask in the first movie).

So I'm voting a blade from SRM and a handle from Ganzo with 1000 spares to cover the tracks.
