What Would Be On The American Army Knife?

The "American" army knife was a copy of the Swiss Army Knife in terms of the tools. I occasionally swap a vic farmer for a camillus 1760. Today, I would say something along the lines of a Leatherman Wave.

Would be nice if all blades had "assisted" openings and cutting blades had self sharpening gizmos.
If there was some way to chill beer, would be nice.
If it's not too much to ask, an updated "P-38" with lighter and stronger non rusting material.

That Camillus "U.S. Military Knife" might be OK except the blade is nearly impossible to get or keep sharp. The overall build quality on it is very low. It's just a cheap knife and not something I wanted in my pocket when I deployed. The awl and openers are OK, but that blade! Far better are some of the SAKs. And they must have scissors, toothpicks and tweezers, which, when deployed are of much greater overall value than anything else. And the blades are in fact sharp. To me a corkscrew is also mandatory. You just never know. My recommendations are:
Victorinox: Any of the larger models such as the Huntsman, Climber, Explorer, Fisherman, or Ranger.
Wenger: EVO S18 or S 585, or the Traveler. The Traveler is a bit more compact than the Victorinox 3.5" models and just the ticket if compactness is important to you.

I have 2 of those. My first knife ever was a demo knife dated 1968 and I just bought another one just like it dated 2006, both made by Camillus.

An exchangable-bit torx driver. Everything these days is put together with those danged annoying little torx screws! If you ask me, the best type of screw head was the single slot one that took a flat-head screwdriver. Its all but impossible to mess up the head on those.
