What would be the best way to stabilies my wood for handels.

I like stabilized wood but I also really like the finish that Danish oil gives it. It is hard to beat the tone, texture and colors the grains pick up from multiple coats of danish oil brought to a near polish. Everything has to be a trade off to some extent.
