I am looking to buy a pocket sheath so I would keep the knife in the sheath inside my pocket, but what would be a good size gec folder that's comfortable to handle without being too big for the pocket?

Probably a 73 for me.

Everybody is different. I've seen key rings with 50 keys a flashlight, prybar, etc

and I've heard people say that they don't want a dime in their pocket.

3 1/2" to 3 5/8" seems to be pretty common for carry.

Mref2u took the words right outta my mouth.
My GEC #73 (2 blade) in ebony is about the largest/heaviest GEC that I care to pocket.
My #23 got to ride around for a few days but I couldnt keep my pants up.

I don't know any model numbers, but I wouldn't carry anything larger than 3 3/4" and with more than one spring. I only have one GEC knife that doesn't meet these criteria.

If the GEC is 2 layer thick then 4" and under like my GEC #48 Jack but I don't bother with a pocket sheath. I've been carrying a #53 Cuban Pen which is 4 1/8" closed but a single (thicker) spring knife but is as narrow or slightly narrower than most GEC jacks. The one I carry is ebony and actually pretty light, and would slip in and out easily in a pocket sheath. I carry it in my right pocket with keys, change, and my thin wallet. In the left pocket I carry my phone and money clip.

I'd say 73 double blade or a single blade 23. The 23 rides nice in a pocket sheath. I carry mine in the KSF Main Street pocket sheath.

I sure like my #85 - it's 3 5/8" yet still a decent size to handle and yet pockets very nicely.

I have a single blade #73, it's slim and pockets nicely also but I haven't carried it much.

I would suggest the #53 Cuban Stockman. At just under 4-1/8" closed, it's still pocketable because of the low riding blades.

I've found the 3.5" #15 Boys Knife & #66 Pony Jack to be as big as I want in my pocket.

And remember, the pocket sheath is going to add girth to whichever knife you decide on also.

I carry a #42 two blade in my back pocket of slacks fine in a pocket slip. In my front pocket I carry a small pocket slip with whatever I feel like. Usually a pony jack or charlow.

so you're saying a single blade no larger than 3 3/4?

Maybe the Missouri Trader. The 73/72 size is just about perfect, but I have had no issues carrying my peanut and Charlow together (redundant? yes). I really like the 23 and 65 patterns, but their size is too much for regular every day carry. My reasoning really makes no sense because I carry an 1n$1ng0 ;) every day with the Charlow, peanut and 73.

Of all my GEC's my Eureka Jack is the largest at 3 5/8 and the two spring construction is as wide as I'll carry. I prefer the thickness of a single spring as GEC tends to build rather chunky knives. My white owl at 3.5 is probably the smallest and slimmest I have but if you go for it, get a Tidioute. I went for a Northfield and the bail has made me regret it.

Of course, a lanyard on the bail and you can easily pull the White Owl out of the slip... But I too prefer without bail. I only have 3 knives with a bail but only carry 1 as it was a gift.

The #53/54 pattern but I put it in a leather pouch which is attached to a belt loop to prevent it sitting flat in the bottom of my pocket.

Works well for me:)

I carry a #54 regularly. 4 1/8"

Very seldom anything under 3 1/2"
It's really a matter of personal opinion.

Two easy carry gecs are the single blade 25s and 15s. Pick the blade you like and carry it with ease.
