I know we are from all over the world here on the forum, but I just wondered what would be the chances of those in my reach meeting up next year ?
I have already booked my leave for this year so that's outta the question but I just wondered who would be interested in next year, I guess this would include those around Seattle, Washington and Vancouver !
It would be a great chance to meet other like minded nutters and share info and thoughts, drink beer and have a laugh......what d'ya reckon ?

I think it's a must-do. When you guys see pics of us having a blast in Connecticut, you'll wanna do it.

I was thinking of taking a couple months this year or next and doing a "road show" where I get to meet and hang with forum members throughout US and Canada to start. Totally selfish motivation on my part, but I think it would be fun if some folks wanted to host meets in different regions.

I have a close friend in Australia as well whom I am due to visit, so maybe I could hang with some of our forum brothers and sisters down under, too.

Thoughts?

I think several area specific meets would be a great idea, personally. Now the question is, who wants to come visit me and get sunburned, dehydrated, and sand in crevices you never knew ya had....Wait, that sounds more like a personal ad than an invitation for a desert survival get together.

It would be great to meet all you guys in person. Gautier, I miss AZ, and its women!

I'd definitely be interested in a meet up. There seems to be a fair number of regulars here and in other BF sub-forums who live in the Van, Van. Island, or Seattle area.

It is going to be a tad difficult for me to get there but I promise I will try my best! :D :D

there's a Scout camp in Sooke which covers a lot of undeveloped land, has some 'dorm' buildings. It's used by SAR groups and the like. It would be a wicked meet up place for west coasters. It's called Camp Bernard. I've been meaning to look into it...

Gatherings are Good!!

For the 4th year we're having an odd event called the Great Northwest Rat Mischief...

It started out as a gathering of Swamp Rak Knife types, but really includes anyone who enjoys an outing in the
Great Outdoors with knives, gear and festive beverages...:D

All are Welcome!! (But be warned; there ARE some "big" knives around )

Looks like we're shooting for the 3rd weekend of August, but we haven't nailed that down quite yet...

Cheers,

Also, most Sunday's we have a "Koffee Klatch, Knife Kult" sort of thing.
Meet Noon at the EOC in Stevenson, WA.
All are Welcome for that too...!

As long as it doesn't hit on the weekend of Aug. 8-10, I should finally make it to the Mischief for the first time.

With this being the seventh year of PWYP I suggest everyone try to form a little get together in your area. They are rather enjoyable and you end up with new friends each year. Well worth any effort required!

I'm in too. Lots of nice fishing lakes up here in the
Kamloops area, but I'm also up for heading to Van. Isl.
I could stop in Victoria and visit my Wing Chun instructor as well.

I like Lorien's idea about getting together at a camp of some kind.
I know of a Scout camp over by Gibsons Landing that might
be able to be used as well. Faces out onto Howe Sound.
That would be a great trip.

Cheers

Man, That would be nice. Nothing is close to North Dakta, except the Noth Pole.:D I wouldn't mind taking a Bus ride out west though. This is an idea we should persue. My son and I are planning a trip to Ohio this summer if anything takes shape over that way. I would love to come west again, its been almost 40 years since I have been out there.
