What would be the next step up in size from the case peanut?

I've been carrying the peanut around with me for a few weeks now and it's a handy little guy but I like to venture into the next size up from the peanut, or a few other sizes for a bigger hand.

If you want to take a relatively small step up, I would suggest the Case Swayback Jack, otherwise you can venture directly into the 3,5" range, and that would really open a wide range of choices (Case Mini Trapper, GEC #15, Case Texas Jack, GEC #66).

The mini-copperhead would only be 1/4" longer, at 3-1/8" total. A few medium stockmen are listed at 3-1/4", just 1/8 longer than the mini-copperhead. The Swayback Jack is shorter, at 3-1/5", but it carries like a larger knife because of the more substantial handle. It's great at draw cutting though--like for fruit.

The Texas Jack is quite a bit larger than the Peanut and would represent several sizes up, IMHO. It's 3-5/8" and carries like most medium stockmen, mini-trappers, canoes and the like.

Case makes a "medium jack". The "medium jack" is 3 3/8" closed length.

Case needs to get their act together on what they call their knives. The small Texas Jack is larger than the Texas Jack.

You want to stay with Case? The other fellas above have already mentioned the great patterns they offer.

If also another cutlery is on your list - the very next step upside the Peanut would be a GEC #33 Conductor (or Conductor Whittler)... or at the 3,5" inch range my well beloved #66 Serpentine Jack.

First , my only case peanut, The small coke bottle from case will get you a bigger blade without much bigger oal closed I like it. Sorry this ones not stag, which I haven't found but it gets points for the Damascus
Also a pict of new stag 087, the conductor and mini trapper warnie

The Case Walnut. :D

...Sorry, I couldn't help myself.

I would think the small texas jack, or maybe even the swayback jack. I've only ever owned the peanut myself, but I would be interested in checking out some others as well.

Case 07 jack or minitrapper (you guys know thats all i talk about:D)
also the small texas jacks look nice...
the 087 jacks(and stockmen) are also nice larger alternatives to the peanut

A Case 6344 stockman is still fairly small and thin, yet offers a sheepsfoot as well as the clip and pen that you're familiar with in the Peanut.
