What would you buy first?

I couldn't go a day without that Sebenza clip hugging my pocket.

I'd have to get a Micarta Classic Seb right away.

i dont think i'd buy all the knives i have now. i'd start with either a leafstorm, a sage 2, or a mini ritter grip in m4. it would be a tough call!

You come home to every knife you own stolen. And your going to have to start your collection from scratch. What is going to be the first knife your going to buy?

But, I always have at least three knives on my person.
If aliens vaporized all the knives I was carrying, and everything were stolen, I'd get a Kershaw Volt (should be available this week), a ZDP-189 Caly 3. Since I'm already on the list for the M4 Military, that's got the Mili goodness covered.

Come to think of it, I almost wish someone would take all my knives...
The Busse Tank Buster and my home made custom sheath would be most missed. Those things can't be replaced at will.

PM me with address and time when you'll be out of the dwelling ....lol

Just kidding of course :)

my Beckers, a Buck 110, a SAK, and of course my kitchen knives. believe it or not i could live without all my Benchmades. i rarely if ever get one out anymore unless someone asks to see a specific model.

I go to WalMart and pick up a Kershaw Skyline, Leek, Buck 110 and 119 because I could have them immediately and wouldn't have to be without a knife waiting for my order to arrive.Than I'd order a Spyderco Endura 4 G-10 (if I could find one), Benchmade 710-D2 and Zero Tolerance ZT0300 all at once followed by my RAT RC-4 and Izula. The rest I can order at my leisure.

The first knife I'd buy is the one that would lure the thief back to easy pickins.
And I'd be waiting with my EDC Emerson Persian...AND my Taurus compact 45 ACP.
And for what I couldn't recover I'd arrange payments...an ankle, elbow or finger joint at a time.
I have little tolerance for thieves.

Wow, tough call, too many to list. Since i always have my police 3, microtech ut, and a sak minichamp with me and most days an xm-18, id say I'd go crazy finding a replacement for my Busse fbm bowie prototype. Then I'd piece together the rest of my busse and microtechs next. Need a heavier safe.....

6 years ago this was my exact case, I'm actually trying to not get too worked up as I type this considering I know who did it I just can't prove it.

A friend of mine was getting ready to move into his new house and asked if I would like to move in too. I gladly accepted, he was and still is a long time friend and I wanted to be back on my own so I really didn't have any worries.

2 weeks after we moved in I had gotten off work early, stopped at the store to get a few things for dinner and continued on my way home. Everything seemed normal when I pulled up but once I reached the back gate my heart sank to my toes. The sliding door was wide open and the blinds were all torn up like a wild animal got a hold of them. My thought process may have not been the best at this time but I made the decision to search the house. I pulled what I would soon learn to be my only knife and entered the back door, the house had been flipped upside down and looked like a seen out of a movie. I quickly and quietly searched the house hoping for some poor bastid to still be there but all I found was our cat hiding up stairs visible disturbed from the days events.

I lost about 70 knives that day including a Camillus ka-bar given to me by a vet, my dads SAK he had given me and many other knives that could never be replaced or just had too high of a personal value to ever be the same if replaced.

Their was a slightly funny part to that day though, and one I won't soon forget, when giving my story to the police the officer asked to see my knife. A little worried because the Emerson CQC-8 is a intimidating blade I slowly pulled it from my pocket and handed it to the officer. Expecting a ear full of why am I carrying such a knife, his only comment was "yep, that would have done the job" while looking it over with what seemed like a bit of jealously.

They didn't take any of my sharpening stones so I guess I was lucky for at least that.

Before I just collected what I liked, now I go for quality and performance. I'm not exactly sure what my first purchase was because I bought a few but IIRC it was a EKI Commander.

Never take for granted living in a "quiet" area, keep'em locked-up and hidden, you never know when the wolf will come peering through your window.

If you know who it is, you need to go have that talking to. Its been 6 years, vengeance is a dish best served cold....

all before mentioned responses were fine, but for me I'd start collecting torture devices in case I ever find the bugger.

I think I would buy:

1. a Victorinox alox Soldier
2. an Opinel
3. a Mora 2010
4. A Spyderco stretch

And from then on, switch to a different hobby !!!
