What would you change about the para-military 2?

The availability of all the sprints :D

But seriously, I cant think of anything. I agree with whoever said all stonewashed, that would rock.

stonewashed is easy enough to do yourself. I stonewashed all of the metal bits on mine (blade, liners, clip, and hardware), and it turned out VERY nicely. I'd post some pics but I don't have a camera that could begin to do it justice.

True, it's something I do want to try out. I know stonewashing will totally dull your blade, but is there a risk of the media putting a bunch of chips in the edge?

First I would do whatever it takes to get rid of the blade play. I have 7 P2s and all of them have at least a little lateral play. Second I would add some length to the handle or reduce the "bump" at the end of the handle. The handle is really a little too small for my hand but I love the knife so much I just deal with it.

Rounder scales ,a larger radius so they are a little more comfortable, also a less curved edge slightly more in line with the handle.

All stonewashed from the factory would be cool.
Make it available in other cool colors.
s30v is classic for the Para2, but maybe change it up, make it m4 or m390 or something awesome like that, pure production though, not a sprint.
Low-rider clip possibly?

Perfect Para2 for me would be:
Blue G-10.
Stonewashed M4 or M390 blade.
Blued Ti-Liners.
Blued Ti-Low Ride Clip.

And yeah that seems awesome.

It wasn't a problem for me. I suppose if you were worried about it you could cut into a stone a bit to dull the edge prior to stone washing which would thicken up the apex of the edge making it less prone to chipping. Or at least it seems like it would work that way. I used a combination of small aquarium stones and medium sized (about 1" diameter) smooth river stones with a quick spray of wd40 in a hard plastic tupperware container. Don't use the flimsy semi-disposable ones as they could break open and would be a HUGE mess. Duct taped the container closed and wrapped it in a couple towels and more duct tape. Then I chucked it in the drier on the air dry setting (no heat) with a couple more towels to quiet the banging around for about 2-3 hours. The result was an incredibly even stonewashed finish. I couldn't believe how well it worked. I have since done a sage 2 and a orange skyline and both turned out beautifully as well. Keep in mind though, your warranty would then be void and you would have to entirely reprofile your edge as it will be entirely ruined in the process (seriously, like butter knife dull). In that sense, a factory stonewashed para2 would be great for the warranty alone.

I still rock one of several Para 1's. Had a para 2, traded for another 1 :D
At least give us a Para 2 in Spyderedge.

Thanks for the tips mkjellgren! I'm gonna try this on my delica.

I'd make people fill out a questionnaire before buying one... :)

In all seriousness, if I were Spyderco, I'd strike up a deal with STR and ship one of his low-rider clips with each one - that's about it. It's honestly the perfect knife for me.

Remove the massive amount of horizontal and vertical play that mine has developed with only minimal use. Both of my militaries are rock solid.

I'd like to have the ability to "custom" order any combination of handle material/color AND any blade steel on a Paramilitary 2.... I think the size and ergo's are already just about perfect for an EDC knife.

A 4" blade with stronger tip.

A 4" blade with stronger tip. More of a guard, instead of a choil.

A 4" blade with stronger tip. More of a guard, instead of a choil. More of a saber grind for a stronger blade.

I like the broad blade. I don't want stonewashing.

(Am I describing a Military version of the Starmate?)
