What would you do with a Glock?

I have been lucky to have about 1000 rounds of 9mm (Still not many really) and keep looking for a .22 conversion for my G19. (been buying .22 as well)

I have about 1500 .45 if my 9mm runs out :)

and about 2500 5.56 if I have to be reduced to wearing my AR for my conceal carry.....hot damn wouldnt that be a trip!

I still seek ammo ammo ammo............allthough I sold a rifle to fund an ACOG my heart says to buy ammo :)

Well, I think if anyone waited this long to buy just-in-case ammo then they didn't need a gun to start with!

Thank President Obama Bin Laden & the Dems. for that one. I know I did not vote democrat. As soon as the poll numbers can in that he was the demo. candidate, I started fiercely stock piling, every free penny, buying up ammo. @ one time, a few years ago, Wal Mart had the white boxes of 9mm (100 rnds.) for $10, IF YOU CAN FIND EM NOW ITS $20. Gun Range owners in my area go to Wal Mart and buy all the ammo and resell it at higher prices, talk about Racketering. Now Wal Mart, near where I live in Ct., has a 5 box maximum purchase per day on all ammo.
Going back to the laws & Dems., do you believe these idiots want to change the laws making it a requirement for serial numbers on all ammo, and firing pins. Ha Ha, that is too hilarious. And if it passes, all surplus ammo owned by citizens has to be used up by 2010.

Yea I think Obongo and clan has really done a number on us ...and have not even begun to stop .....
my walmart has a 6 box limit yet ,I snagged 15 boxes at one times since the sign has been posted.... Test the limits of the sign....my wally world has not turned away cash and it is not a State law ? Gun shops do not have a limit ...

Look at this shit,

Its idiots like this one that are going to make restrictive guns laws worse & pass quicker thru government . Some people in this world really make life difficult for the rest of us. Its because of ASSHOLES like this fool (and the Virginia Tech shooter) that spoil it for the law abiding citizens.
I feel there is no deterrent to crime. Plea bargains and side deals by lawyers reduce the punishment to a slap on the wrist. Instead, politicians go after the firearms and take them away from the law abiding sportsmen (like us). Stricter penalties not new laws are what this system is missing, IMO

If you're gonna call a poseur a poseur you have to speel it korrectly, k? :D

As far as all of the Obamaterror, I didn't vote for the guy and I have no idea what he is going to do. Politically, he's a hurricane, unpredictable. His history is being anti-second amendment but he is basically saying what the NRA has been saying for years - enforce the laws that exist. Did the provision pass where people can actually carry in National Parks now? If it did, why didn't he simply veto it? Perhaps the DNC finally understood that cowtowing to the extremists they have in their party on certain issues was making them lose elections. I don't know but gun owners caused this and distributors caused this to jack up the prices on everything. Was the fear legitimate? At first, yes, because democrats and other liberals are vehemently anti-gun. But his actions have not been fueling the sales because he hasn't done anything.

Well, shoot, Don -- I know that. :D

I also knew that I was talking to a Okie who hears music whenever Uwe Van Schamann breaks wind, and who secretly buys his own personal knives from t-k-c because the proprietor's name is "Stoops." :D:D:D

(Derrick, we kid because we care. ;))
As far as all of the Obamaterror...

The current political climate is an iceberg, and our president is only what we see above the surface.

We'd be better served, I think, by being more mindful of the AG and a handful of incurable (and powerful) legislators.

And although we can't take it to the bank, I remain personally grateful for those 65 Democrats.

As the wise man Gerald Celente says, I'm a political atheist. I do not trust ANY of them, I don't care who they are and I don't trust Limbaugh or Hannity anymore than I would trust Randy Rhodes from Air America fame. I have 20+ years of voting for the "lesser of two evils" and I'm sick of it. The fearmongering has caused this problem as it stands right now. Like I said, at first, it was warranted! And, it might be the calm before the storm. Personally, I can't afford any of that stuff any longer, anyway. I've been priced out of all of that stuff and had to sell what I had over five years ago so I'm screwed in the gun dept. I can't replace any of it because of stagflation, so we go with what we have. Makes one even more desperate and dangerous when the shit hits the fan. :D

Just got back from Academy Sports. They have tons of ammo, all calibers and plenty of Glocks. I picked up 3 boxes of .40 and 2 boxes of .17 HMR. They had plenty of pistol calibers by the case except for .380. Plenty of rifle ammo as well, including cases of .223.

What are you shooting that .17 through?

I was considering upgrading my .22lr to a .17.

There is a thread on an alternative to a Glock 17. I say the alternative is a baseball bat.

I went to Walmart yesterday to buy some ammo--Nothing. Nada. Zippo.

No 9mm
No 40mm
No 45

They didn't even have .22!

If you buy a gun, you have to club someone with it.

or you have to shop at more than just wal mart

Marlin 917. A literal tack driver from the factory. I added Leupold glass and a new trigger group. Chicken eggs @ 200 yards don't stand a chance.

I was a .22 fan for years, as was I a PC fan. Once I bought a .17 I never looked back, same as buying a Mac computer and being done with PCs. ;)

Ahh Jeff, truly a smart guy. Nice to know you're a fellow Mac fan. I was fortunate to start with a Mac, so I was fortunate enough not to have to put up with pc pains. (although I dont wish to start a war here...). .17 Is also a fantastic round. Virtually no recoil at all from m Savage 93 with a bull barrel and absolutely guaranteed to put 5 rounds in one hole at 50 yards.

I believe mr. obama once said "I will not take away your rifles, your shotguns, or your handguns", But he didnt say anything about ammo ;). He will be the death of us all. O how I miss George.

As I said in another post, I've been working at my local Dicks Sporting Goods in the Hunting dpt for about a month now. WHen I got there, there was no 380, 9 mil, 40, or 45 to be found. Yesterday we got a HUGE load of 9 in, as well as a good chunk of 45 and 38spcl. Lots of 223 also. I think The shortage will come to an end soon. Every time I go to academy they have 9mm.

Let's see that would be less than six months to use up a lot of ammo. What is it, 80 to 100 Million gun owners ? If they each had one box of 50 rounds, that would be 4-5 billion rounds that would need firing inside the USA. That might get ugly fast. Who'd vote for that ?

I'm staying inside New Year's Eve if that passes.
