What would you do with these?

I'm soon to have 1080 cores from 3" insulating firebricks. Rated for 2600°F, they measure 3" long × 2.25" diameter. Seems like a big waste to throw them away.

flatten one side and slot em for knife racks in the forge or oven, i would defiately take several if ya gettin rid of em

Knife racks is probably a better (and more sale-able) idea than mine, but I'd put them on end packed tightly in a frame on a metal topped table, fill the gaps with sand, and have a heat resistant table for torch work. Or maybe line a forge with them? or make a heat resistant shop floor? I think you'll have about enough to cover 30-35 square feet
