I’ve made it no secret that I really like my TOPs MSK 2.5, but there’s something about it that bothers me.
I use/carry it regularly..sweat all over it, (which darkens the scales temporarily) but in the morning it looks as bland and dry as it did the previous morning. Is there something harmless I can dip it in, or brush on to maintain a darker colored scales.
Thank you much,
Lee

Years ago, I won a little BK11 in a Forum giveaway. I sent it off for custom black canvas micarta scales with blue G-10 liners and a black leather horizontal carry sheath. Ended up costing more than the knife itself was worth but the upgrades were excellent--no regrets. I still preferred my Izula 2 so I ended up gifting the BK11 to a buddy who took a shining to it.

Anyway, if you dig the knife and can spare the cash, it might be worth getting some new scales made for it.

Whatever you decide, good luck, Lee! Cool little knife, btw.:thumbsup:

I treated this green canvas micarta with a mixture of boiled linseed oil and beeswax:
