What would you like to see happen to your knife collection after you die?

how bout donating some to the CKCA, so they can auction them off and use the proceeds to raise awareness and provide education? Maybe they could use the funds to provide a grant to a successful applicant which can be used to apprentice under an eminent knifemaker? Or maybe a grant to someone who wants to produce a book on custom knives?

Now that's an idea.
I hadn't thought of that.

I hope my kids keep a select few of my knives, Guns, Swords and then sell the rest off and by something that will bring them as much pleasure and enjoyment as my stuff brought me.

an aside, for Kevin, is that if there is money coming into the organization then money has to go out! A great way to spend money is to offer grants, which can be matched by governmental or private bodies in the form of grants as well.
A great way to compound the investment the organization's making in the community.

Besides, everyone loves a crack at the possibility of receiving some money!

Ps. Can you tell I'm an Optimist? Bagloads of money! Boatloads! Truckloads!

I'm flattered, Kevin! I got a message from Mr. White a bit ago, and don't know what happened to it, (sorry Mr. White!:o) but I've been thinking about it.
Sign me up!
Ps. I'm not much of a collector:(but I aspire to be:)
Any of you ole dogs want an apprentice?;)

what's with the wink, Kevin? Are there some bizarre hazing rites or signing away my soul, using my own blood or something like that?:D Just curious:).

:o(please see this little smiley as worried, not embarrassed)

I have budgeted all my extra $ towards forged knives, which will be coming goo shortly, so I will only be able to say that I am a member in spirit:thumbup::)for now!

Canadian chapter! Represent:thumbup:

I'd like my knives melted into a blob and dumped in the ocean, just so no one else can have them. :p

..........Or maybe my son will want them. He's a huge knife fan, at age 2. He can name the parts of the knife, bolster, pins, shield...
