What would you use an Atlas 7B shapper for?

I think Nathan hates them because they're SLOW. Please correct me if I'm wrong...

They kind of fascinate me, but I don't own one. Damascus patterning sounds like a good use.

One use I thought of was tapering tangs, believe it or not.
 
Ahem,... In case you didnt notice Ive been dying for a shaper. If you end up getting that thing ,Id be very happy to share my amateur experience with one , as well as some perhaps novel ideas ,as well as some tooling etc....
 
Well I waited a day too long on the deal unfortunately and missed out. Probably for the best, I'll just add that money to my TW-90 fund :D. I'm going to keep an eye out for another one though, this tread has peaked my interest in them a lot more. I'll let you know if I find another one Eric, thanks for the offer.
