Here's my usual choices:

My time: 1. Case Mini Trapper that my wife gave me years ago. 2. Benchmade 720.

On Duty: 1. Victorinox Tinkerer - to use and loan to others. 2. MOD Trident or Spyderco Military.

Hunting or Camping: Broadwell Fixed blade or Denning #6

My knife of choice would have to be the Spyderco Endura and Merlin, one in RF pocket and the other in R Cargo pocket.
My other choice is the Ken Onion Blackout, Scallion, Vapor. I also carry a Cold Steel Voyager XL Tanto 1/2 serrated, that's one honkin' folder. It is 11 inched over all, a 6" handle and almost 5" blade, plus it can be carried in your pocket via a humorusly (but effective) small pocket clip.
I am looking to get the holy of holies. The TOPS CQT Magnum, plain clip point.

Right now I have a RW Clark Mini Aikuchi in my right cargo pocket, an Emerson Mini CQC7A clipped to my right front, and a Spyderco Pride in my left pocket.
I love these posts,
Matt
***I need to get one of those Queen knives in D-2 and one of your knives Chris...very cool!

In the bottom of my right pocket, alone with nothing else is my Tony Huffman green bone sowbelly, that has been their since the day it arrived....Nothin'like a slipjoint in my pocket, even when I carry my Obie #1 it is still there. Have a great weekend. Jim

A Old Timer peanut ("Pal" I think - 12OT). I love the steel (1095 I believe) - it will take and hold a very nice edge plus the blade is thin and narrow. It'll easily handle 95% of my cutting chores AND the fit and finish are actually on par with my higher-end production folders. All this for about $10 at the local Wal-Mart. Go figure...

In the evenings and on weekends I usually supplement it with either a Spyderco Starmate or an Outdoor Edge/EdgeTech Paragee.

Jon

PS - Chris, I wish you'd call that knife "Stonedog's". :-)

Today seems to be a "pearl" day for me. I'm carrying a new Buck 303 poly pearl from Walmart and a very old pre 1920 pearl handled Lenox coffin handle senator whittler that I found at a local flea market.

The Lenox is not tremendously collectable, but is a very nice slim knife that despite it's years has great snap and holds a very good edge. I would really like to see someone make some like these with todays high end steels (S30V).

Take Care!

Yes, it's Pearl Day. During the day at work I carry a cheap mini toothpick made in our stellar ally in the far east, Pakistan. After work and on weekends its a med pearl toothpick by Queen. Frequently I carry my ColdSteel 'Bird & Trout'

Gerber Ranger folder, 3.13" combo blade. Best money I ever spent on a knife. Light, strong, precision made. Aircraft aluminum scales are checkered for grip - - and did I mention light. This knife is unbelievably light for its size and strength. Checkering is cut on a decreasing radius, so the grooves are closer together toward the back of the handle scales. This makes the checkering smaller and tighter toward the back of the handle, and larger at the front of the handle where your fingers wrap around. Very practicle and visually appealing effect - resembles a scale pattern of a fish or reptile.

I love this knife!

Henckels red jigged bone two-blade trapper with carbon steel blade and a Spyderco SS Native with AUS-10 blade as a single-hander.

Have a good day!

HM

Mine's changed. :)

A Fight'n Rooster (Frank Buster Cut Co.) two blade peanut w/ carbon steel and sweet jigged bone handles and/or a AG Russell/Cattaraugus Sleeveboard Whittler (Rope knife?). For a one hander it's either an EdgeTech Paragee or a Spyderco Starmate.

Cheers.

Jon

Today, I carried my Spyderco Police, and my new MooreMaker trapper.

Chris, those are some sweet customs. I sure would like to get my hands on one of those hawks. Do you make those also?

Spyderco Mini Dyiad, ATS-55, black Micarta, this knife is small enough to carry cliped inside my waistband and with a serrated and plain edge (very sharp"pointy" tip)it does just about everything a standard pocket-type knife needs to do. Also 3 small stockman (3 1/2") Robsen (w/leather punch),Queen,Browning (440c or ATS-34)get carried now and then for old times sake. However I see a new mid size Queen stockman in D2/red delrin in my future. Too bad they don't make them in real bone anymore but with D2 and Queen quality I guess that makes up for it. Weldonk
