What ya think about the BM Griptillian?

I received a regular Griptilian a few years ago as a gift and I absolutely love it. I have used it as my primary EDC the whole time.

I love mine but if I was to buy one today I would get the mini Ritter.

I prefer the mini Grips, they are more comfortable in my hands and more legal in my locale.

Look into the Doug Ritter Griptilians, too.

I prefer the mini grips myself, and I love that they offer it in that blue color.

I would suggest the Ritter grip and mini grip.

The Ritter ones are amazing folders!

I have the Ritter mini-grip and it is awesome! Lockup is extremely tight and it is very smooth opening right out of the box. Dollar for dollar, it may very well be the best deal in folders out there.

+1 :thumbup::thumbup:. I have a regular and Ritter Mini-Grip and absolutely wish I hadn't waited so long to buy either. The Ritter Mini gets all the pocket time now, while my original regular Mini is a back-up safe queen. I like the blade shape and high grind on the Ritter, and so far the S30V seems good. Haven't needed to spend much time when touching it up. The regular mini-grip is more than adequate for my needs, but I wanted to splurge on the Ritter version. I believe it was worth the extra bucks, especially since I was going to buy a spare mini-grip anyway....

I now have to decide between the mini and full size. It's for edc.

I like the mini's for EDC since they're really unobtrusive while retaining most if not all of the functionality of the full size (for my activities). If I need something larger/stronger, I'm usually outside with a FB. If you have a chance to handle either, you should. When I went into my local REI (which only stocks the combo-edge and coated grips...), I found the full-size grips were just too large in my pocket and not as nimble in my hand. The handles on both felt "cheap" to me too, but I ordered one anyway to see what all the hype was about. After only a single day, I was a believer . Really great knives, especially for the price, and especially if you've never owned an axis lock before. :thumbup:.

Just got mine a week or 2 ago and I absolutely love it. (I have the large) Like the others said it is a tough as hell knife that locks up solid, I have to say that is true. A few people said that it feels cheap in the hand, kinda plastic-ie, I do not really agree with this. It to me feels similar to the way that an Endura or Delica feels light but strong, and you CAN tell that it is strong.

Size is where it is relative I need a big knife so I carry the large. Who knows, for you the small could be a better knife just because it fits into your EDC needs better than a large knife. As far as hand size goes I have smaller hands with skinny fingers and after handling the mini-grip and the full size they both fit very well.

But realistically if you are like the rest of us it doesnt matter which you get, you will end up with both anyways

(for the record I have the large 551 with orange scales bought off the forums)

I prefer the mini for EDC. Both are great knives, but the full size, while very light, is overly bulky for pocket carry, IMO.
