What did you cut with your knife today?

Today I only cut 1 thing a rope that some bone head tied with a untieable knot. used my Calypso ltwt and it worked great.
Ooops cut 1 other thing a banana with a trusty kitchen knife.

I just got up 2 hours ago. How much could I have cut? I cut a piece of thread dangling on my shirt. By the end of the day I will have opened up 15-20 pieces of mail, cut open at least two boxes of stuff, peeled an apple, sliced some beef stick for lunch, made salad fixin's for supper, quartered a chicken (yep, tonight's chicken night), and of course, sliced some hair off my arm.

I get some pleasure from finding a relentlessly peaceful use for a combative looking knife.

I got up at 2:45 am to do my 300+ account paper route (Have 5 sons-Gotta make ends meet somehow).

So far, with an RJ Martin, I've cut open 8 or 9 bundles of newspapers, and sliced open a bag of rubber bands. Oh yeah.. Cut open a bag of sugar to sweeten my tea. Okay. I could have just unrolled the top of the bag. I just wanted to cut something else!
If you're reading this, I'm sure you can identify!

Sure, humiliate me publicly! I get up, check E-mail and then go to the gym. Today I lingered, opened a package of cookies--Pecan Sandies--just to 'fuel up...'--OKG

Today? well I felt very lonely at work, I was late leaving home and left my William Henry Carbon Fiber Lancet on my bedside table! So I had to use my new LCC to cut open the maxwell house coffee bag to make some coffee at work this morning, BUT luckily a guy was driving by our building and fell asleep and snapped a power pole right in front of our building, everyone go home and come back at 1:30 so I got to go home and get that nice little shirt pocket knife that I've come to depend on everyday!

Well yesterday at work I cut about 12 Wilderness AT Tires(DOT VD) that we had taken off of vehicles. My Endura has probably cut over 600 tires in the last month. Its been a busy little knife.

Now, let´s see. In Europe, right now, it´s 7 PM. During the day I´ve been cutting or slicing with different knives:
1. Kitchen knife: All sorts of food, like onions, lettuce, bread, apples and two slices of bread.
2. With my pocket knife (Kershaw, Wild Turkey): I opened a parcel.
3. With my Gerber Filet knife: I cut my self while trying to shave off some hair on my forearm.

Today I've used my new Buck Executive to open about a dozen letters.
I was just wondering, besides Hoodoo and (apparently) everyone who's ever written advertising copy for pocketknife manufacturers, who "peels" apples with their knife? What's the point? Just wash it and chomp down. I don't know why that bothers me, but I read that phrase in virtually every knife catalog ever produced. Yet I've never peeled an apple, never been tempted to peel and apple, or even seen anyone do it.

Peeled and sliced an apple, sliced some banana nut bread, and opened some envelopes with my AFCK. Oh, and popped the tab on a couple of Coke cans.
I look for excuses to use it.

mnblade, I am an unrepentant apple peeler. It makes me feel more sophisticated

...oh yeah, and my buddy, Classified00 cut some Saran Wrap with his BM 705 and worried about it all day! He shan't worry, ergo, because I, Gallant Old Gray Head, hath parceled him proper cutting implements...--OKG

Gallant Old Gray Head, it is I, Lazy Young Lump Head! You have called into question the merits of my preferred brand of slicing instrument! We must settle this on the field of honor.

My Raven was busy today! Started off slicing bagels for the crew at work because the guy who was nice enough to buy them didn't think about how we were going to cut them. Then it moved on to 10 or so letters. Finished up the day opening up about two dozen packages. And my co-workers still ask me why I always carry a knife.

I don't think I actually cut anything today (except my chin-whiskers with a shaving safety razor), but I did use my swiss army knife screwdriver to tighten a loose screw. I also just used the SAK bottle-opener to pop the cap off a Samuel Adams lager. Ahhhh!

Masking tape, wood (for the handles on the Tactical Spork), paper... and I cut the cheese

Damn it! I haven't cut anything today! Now I feel like a lunatic, with a knife in my hand, trying to find an excuse to cut something up...
