What you would edc in your dream world

My dream EDC knife would be a 3" XM-18 flipper, sandblast Ti scale and locking scale, stonewash spanto blade, blue ano pocket clip and standoffs.

My DPX Hest, because I'm not allowed to carry a one-hand-locking folder here and its too expensive to risk it.
I am allowed to carry a fixed blade up to 12cm blade length however, so I'm carrying my BK14

You can't carry an 8cm locking folder but you can carry a 12cm fixed blade?

Is that just where you live in Germany, or all of Germany? Seems like a silly law to me.

most laws of men are silly

back on topic: In my dream world I wouldn't need any blades except to play with; so I would have one of my many beautiful 24/7 personal assistants hand me 1 of whatever I'd like to fiddle with at that particular moment.

In a dream world I'd EDC a lightsaber, ride to work on a T-Rex, and go home every night to a harem.

Or maybe the harem would BE my office, then I'd never have to leave...

What were we talking about again?

Sadly it's like that in all of Germany.
That law caused a big uproar in the german knife community when it was introduced in april 2008, we first thought it would be an april fools joke.
Guess it's one of those "look we are doing something" laws politicians nowadays love to make

Basically:
one-hand opening and lock=bad
one-hand-opening w/o lock or two-hand opening of ANY size= good
fixed up to 12cm blade length, concealed or not= good, probably because hunters are a strong influence in the conservative parties, and they love their jagdnickers

You are except from the above laws if you have a "commonly acknowledged reason" for carrying, e.g. fishing, hunting, camping etc.
That definition is very unclear, so I guess it really depends on the police officer
