What your knife contacts most?

That picture is a good representation of what those three knives spend their lives doing. And since I live in the woods, they see a bit of chopping and camp chores over the spring and summer.

Aside from those, most of my knife use is on food, rope, boxes, zipties and wood.

Very few of my knives get pampered, and none of them are safe queens.

cardboard, food packages, plank trimming-off the edge of the cut from my table saw. Gorilla glue that is dried and oozed out of the joint, irrigation field wire insulation, those to name a few. I wish I could say more of; fish and game.

Packaging plastics like tape and security containers, zip ties, etc.

Cardboard that needs to be broken down.

Wood 'cause I like to whittle and camp.

Hair 'cause I like to shave with my trapper and test for shaving sharpness.

Meat beacuse I like to use my knives for food prep and eating.

Paper for sharpness tests.

Oh, and pistaschio nuts when they're too hard to get open with a fingernail. :P

I mostly use my knives for cutting tape/cardboard boxes and woodworking. These are tops by a large margin and then comes zipties, food, paper...

Lots of polyethylene and pex pipe (my main use - I'm a plumber). Some occasional ABS drain pipe reaming. Plastic bags. Cable ties. Cardboard. Various other things.

uh, hate to say it, but anytime my thumbnail is short, mine opens my skoal cans. i guess if i could cut back to 1 or none on my dipping, i could buy a whole lot of knives. crap costs between 5 and 6 bux a can at usually 2 cans a day.... around 350.00 a month

That's a helluva lot a chew!
Can't believe those numbers don't sway you different..

Not my business :foot: haha

My Case mini Trapper cuts a lot of apples, twine, burlap sacks, plastic bags, envelopes, tie wraps etc....
