i was diggin' out a tree stump today and had to break out the old work knife and started wondering, what knives do you guys use to work around your house/ yard?

what your work knife?
Usually a Buck 301. I find the selection of blade shapes useful. And it's built like a brick...telephone booth.

Spyderco Gayle Bradley. I've tried many, many knives on the job and the GB comes out on top. It's a damn good hard use work knife that rarely needs to be dressed up during a long day of use.
I'd love to have a CPM M4 multiblade slippie with the same heat treat that my Spyderco has.
I wonder how much a custom would cost or who would make something I'd be satisfied with.

SMF lego s35vn flat grind, Luts Utlilty knife with U.S. made blades, DPX hest 2 in the work truck, a old ass hatchet think it was a hand forged type at least over 80 years old and still works new handle thoe. Well I'm a Carpenter I have tons of work knives for all sotrs of jobs.

Usually a fiddleback forge, either an edc, 3finger karda, or a 3finger joe. But here lately it's been my new kick ass custom fallkniven h1 and a mora craft line installers knife.

Around my yard I pick one of 3, depending on the task. The king is my Cold Steel Barong, reground to give an actual primary bevel of about 4 degrees with a 20ish degree sharpened edge. Next is my daughters Old Hickory 8" butcher knife. She uses is helping me dig up weeds and such. And finally is a United Cutlery copy of Cold Steel's Recon Tanto. Mystery steel 3/16" thick, and works like a charm.

more and more i just have a sak with me, a pioneer right now, often paired with a fixed blade (an alan davis or jk custom)

mostly this:

Case medium stockman, Leatherman Blast, Mora 612. Usually one of those, but who know what I might through into the mix.

Depends on the work, but my work EDC is my smurf blue Paramilitary 2. A short Ontario machete and a cheap stainless serrated petty knife get lots of use in the yard, and the Tinker/Super Tinker are always in back pocket for the "other" tools.
