Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

While keeping my eye out for a new charlow I decided I loved the look of the long pull spear and clip blades of the first two iterations. Found a long pull, clip blade, open ended boys knife in ebony and snatched it up. Patiently waiting for it now. This #15 pattern sure is easy to love.

I went home from work at about 3 o'clock in the afternoon today - then I remembered I had to get some shooting patches for the firerange next week. So I went to a local hunting store and bought the patches. I chatted a little with the owner - a great man with great knowledge about firearms, ammunition and knives...

I saw a F. Hartkopf Stag Lockback with a spear blade ... and bought ...
I saw an 2-knives Ebony Opinel set in a wood case... and bought it ...

... and I don´t regret it :D :D :D :p

Great scores Andi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Like 'em both but those ebony Opies are super!!!!!

Thanks :)

That Hartkopf is an amazing piece - that stag is really unbelievable, especially in had; great thick handles (not too thick though)... and they are matching together, not as I´ve seen on many other knives before.

Ebony is a great wood - imo. It gives a great, silky feeling in hand.

Looking forward to more pics of your new Hartkopf!!!!

A #68 White Owl like this to take over from the #09 Esquire that to be honest is just to small for my arthritic old fingers lovely little knife though it is..

Ordered some Cases this week, a seahorse whittler to replace the one I sold years ago and a Bluegrass trapper with a banjo shield to take to my luthier son in Tucson next month.

Arthritic guy checking in. My spear point White Owl in bocote has a nice mild pull, about 3 and is as small as I can use comfortably.

Hi Sheldon nice covers on that "Owl",you have set my mind at rest about the usability...
TBBT rules.

Well I finally caved - Bought this case tiny toothpick (in CV) as a travel companion. Now hopefully it gets here before I leave town otherwise I just blew $40!

Thanks for the feedback. Nice looking knife all around. I tend to buy single blade knives that are easy to open, and wonder if they make a single blade owl.

I am pretty sure they do not make a single blade owl, i was thinking about a #15EC Boys Knife i see they do a single spearpoint blade version. but i settled on the owl, ah so many knives so little money...

Northwoods Indian River Jack is similar to the owl and is single bladed. The pull is pretty light as well. Unfortunately I just checked and they are currently sold out. I do recall Derrick(okbohn) mentioning that they were having another run at some point so maybe inquire with him if they suit your fancy.

Is that Opinel a locking blade?

Yes, the #8 has the locking ring and the #2 doesn´t. Just like the "other regular" Opinels as well.
