A drop point made by a guy named Robert Waldorf Loveless, and I plan on carrying and using it, just as Bob would have wanted. Its too bad many of his knives are sitting in safes, trading owners every so often. I am extremely excited, this is a culmination of many years of collecting and learning about custom knives.

Kris...lucky man to be getting a Loveless DPH. Glad to hear that you're going to use it as well. It's a shame that his knives went the route that they did. From his own testaments, he hated that fact that they became a collector item rather than a tool as you have pointed out.

decided to add some barlows to the collection, single clip 77, one in black wood and one in stag! finally trying out the bareheads should be interesting

Just recently ordered a Case Sodbuster JR with chestnut bone with a slight bit of rust on the blade. Hopefully I can get that off once it arrives. Does anyone have recommendations on getting a few rust spots off Case CV? I was thinking going over the blade with some extra fine sandpaper and then developing a patina on the entire blade since it's going to be a user.

Also have a Case Mini Trapper SS with Antique River Logs handle coming my way. I can't wait to check out its unique looking scales.

2007 Case Bose swing guard in ebony. If the man upstairs intends for me to have it, I won't get outbid.

Not only did I get it... I also have the stag/damascus version coming too.

I have one of those new northwoods Michigan knives coming in black,a mere hours after released and the denims were gone. Also have a northwoods 2 blade Madison coming.I've really gotten obsessed with these style knives lately.Oh and its all you guys fault.just really got into "collecting" recently, but holy crap I've spent a lot in a couple of months.BUT,no difference in how I am with other hobbies.

Thanks Jake, HERE is a great article done in 1980 for Sports Illustrated.

I've read that article before Kris but I had no problem reading it again, it's very well written. Congrats on your purchase of the knife. I expect a full report when you've used it LOL
