I have one of the 1989 Remington trappers with cocobolo for when my son gets old enough for the scouts and it is a beauty for the price.

Well I just ordered my mom's Christmas present to me that Donna was going to take care of for her. Lol! I love family. I told Donna this year that I had gotten a special knife from everyone close to me over the years except for mom. She asked what I might want and I settled on a Barlow because that's what Mom's dad always carried and he's the reason I love the pattern so much. So Mom and Donna after much discussion decided Donna would make the purchase for Mom. Then Donna comes to me and says they want it to be what I want but don't know what to ask or look for. So she sheepishly asked me to make the order. I love that they want me to be happy with a special knife from Mom. So after talking with Tyler at KSF, I'm pretty sure Mom is going to get me a really nice Barlow for Christmas.

I wish my mom thought that much about what I may want. You sir, are lucky to have such a family. Congrats on that X-Mas present, it's a great choice. Tyler (KSF) won't steer anyone wrong and this is the evidence. Use it in good health, despite that being a premature nicety.

I have a GEC Northfield Un-X-LD #77 Washington Jack in Antique Yellow Jigged Bone on the way. Should be here in a few days from Michigan! Can't wait to get it!

Have a 2015 forums knife on the way. Didn't have the cash when they were being preordered. Just snagged one off the exchange at cost from a fellow memeber. Can't wait!

Just ordered Northfield #99 with a Warncliffe blade. Earlier in the month ordered a #83 Northfield with Autumn Leaf jigged bone. Also a Northfield #36 with brown jigged bone. Recently got the traditional itch - I had a long list of "needed" modern folders that have been moved down the list. Feeling a significant amount of ADD and will probably need to get on some Ritalin before too long. My wife calls it "Knife Fever".
 
I was in the middle of ordering a mid tech Framelock Gent's knife when this guy caught my eye instead.

I keep in loving moderns but these little traditionals keep finding their way I to my heart and pant pockets.

Tyler at KSF was nice enough to select a few and find me a dead centered one.
