Thanks Will Power ... I will do just that once it arrives. That stag is an indication of how much use the Bowie may have had and it isn't worn smooth very much I don't think. I don't have the original sheath for it ... lost to the ages. I may look into a reproduction sheath at some point but not a high priority ... yet LOL

EDIT: My best guess is that since it is mostly un-used, it has probably been on display much of its life (or at some point) and probably simply separated from it sheath along the way.

Came across a blood red 62 for a great price, that will put 3 62s in my rotation. I gotta say I love the pattern and dont mind that its not a rare one or anything. I like the thought of having double redundancy on this great edc.

I'll be the happy new owner of this custom Mike Moran come Monday. It has koa covers that were sourced in Hawaii and was originally made for a local boy. I grew up in HI but moved to Washington for college. I'm excited to own this piece of home.
