Thanks Will Power :) ... I will do just that once it arrives. That stag is an indication of how much use the Bowie may have had and it isn't worn smooth very much I don't think. I don't have the original sheath for it ... lost to the ages. I may look into a reproduction sheath at some point but not a high priority ... yet LOL

EDIT: My best guess is that since it is mostly un-used, it has probably been on display much of its life (or at some point) and probably simply separated from it sheath along the way.

Used but in excellent shape with a lot of life left in it
Purchased for nostalgia reasons. Early to mid 90's, 5OT Bruin was my EDC
Should be here Friday out of Texas and I'm ready to make this knife better than what I receive
