Whatcha got on order? (Traditional Knives Only)

I’ve bought a lot of knives so far in 2023. I’m reaching the end of my wish list for a while. The only ones left are a wharncliffe trappper and a 5-blade Shadley.

This is my latest. A Reese Bose modified saddlehorn (clip point and skinner). It should arrive tomorrow thank you @VCM3 View attachment 2076699View attachment 2076700
When I last spoke with Eugene, about 5 years ago, he was still making knives and taking orders. I want one of his leverlocks

That’s good to know. I may try to find out if I can order one. I don’t see things come up often on the secondary market

I finally bit on the Sheffield Admiralty pattern sheath knife from a preciously expensive tool and sundries catalogue. It was down to a bit under half price. Plus $12 for the UPS shipping. More than I would have paid in person for a kitchen knife in a sheath.
But, I guess I'm grudgingly happy, or I'd cancel it.

I'll unsubscribe from that catalogue, though. I look at anything long enough and it starts seeming reasonable.
I'll wait to unsubscribe till I get the knife. Maybe it was reasonable!

This just shipped to me. A David Mary Custom Knives prototype "Prevalito", custom made to order in CPM Magnacut rc 62-63. Basically a cut-down Prevail from around 4" to just 3.5" blade, and to a spearpoint or leaf shape, with a belly instead of wharncliffe blade. Dressed with purpleheart wood handles, red G-10 pin, red wood liners, and copper foil lanyard tube.
