And the Queen Mountain man is in my hands now. Have you ever cried for the beauty of a knife? :) There is a very slight vertical blade play, but not more than I expected. Traditional lockbacks seem to be that way. The blade is not dull, as I feared, but it needs a touch-up with diamond and ceramics. Pictures will follow.

Just picked up a J. Lloyd Zulu in Alabama Damascus with fossilized auroch scales. I am so excited to receive it.

Ooh, pic's please:)

these are direct from vince's site, i'll update with my pics once it is in hand

Very nice and unique too:)^^

Looks like he's ground it nice and thin too. Something that has put me off some of his knives.

I have always had a peanut or two laying around but they never stay in my permanent collection. I plan on changing that by carrying this one everyday though. Should be here Friday. Going to live a hard life in my left pocket rattling around with my keys and zippo. I have always drooled over the old candy stripe celluloid, finally going to own one.

I have the same thing in ebony sitting in my shopping cart. I'm having a very hard time convincing myself to pull the trigger on it, I'm feeling "cheap" at the moment!

I have a GEC #92 Eureka Jack in smooth ivory bone, and a #15 Huckleberry Boy's knife, single clip, in red rust bone that should be coming in the next few days.

I also snagged a Schrade Walden Uncle Henry Trapper off the Bay.

It is a very early model with carbon steel blades, and looked to be in excellent shape.

I got it so cheap I am almost embarassed.

You'll love it, Johns knives have some serious soul!

I love it already!! After three or four passes on the sharpmaker it is screaming sharp too. The scales are great but I'm going to have to be careful with it, they seem to be slightly brittle. Great knife!

Also just ordered a #15 e/o boys knife in ebony, 2 blade version. It's going to be a good knife month, bad CC month!

I don't know why but I just had to have it! :cheerful:

Ah, another one!

I love my mine...

... though in the interests of full disclosure, I do refer to it as my Little Tacky Tango. :D

The coping blade on mine was quite stiff, as is often the case with the 26s, but I loosened it up the good ol' fashioned way (cleaning the joint, opening and closing it) and it smoothed out nicely soon enough.
