^ damn super jelly. Didn’t even know the cowboys from hell were that close to me.

Rip brother
Was fortunate to see him whip mr perfects ass as a wee one with my old man. One of the few times he took me to have fun as a kid. The other was taking me to see Marilyn Manson during his prime in 97. Still surprised he let that happen.

clinton1 clinton1 ,

My Mom is Hispanic.

HERE is her FAVORITE version of "Quizas, Quizas, Quizas"... (*"Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps")

...and here is CAKE's version... (*Man, my Mom LOVED this sh!t!!!...It ALWAYS got her up, smiling & dancing)

I play the Lila Downs version very frequently. Both my wife and I love it. I'm gonna give the "Cake" version a listen right now....

Okay...the Cake version just doesn't move me. But Lila...yeah.

Check out the "Tortilla Soup" soundtrack on YouTube if you don't have the album. Some awesome music.

I think this will play the entire soundtrack:

I meant to reply to this earlier. Yeah, maybe not my thing. That sounds a little Brazilian/Portuguese to me.

With that, "Tortilla Soup" is one of favorite flicks (*I don't know if you've actually seen it). "Hector Elizondo", "Elizabeth Pena" (*RIP), "Raquel Welch" (*RIP), "Paul Rodriguez", etc...How could anyone go wrong?

With that,

Love it or hate it, who remembers "Nacho Libre"?...

*The legend of "La Llorona" is BIG amongst us South Texas "brownies". In fact, just a few weeks back, my Cousin Frank (*"Pancho") and I were gathering stuff (*at the request of a Ranch Owner) from a remote South Texas Ranch cabin that had collapsed.

On the same property, there was a dilapidated travel trailer. As we approached the travel trailer, Frank jokingly said, "Hayyy, mis hijos!"

**Yeah, I know, "Not funny". You have to be a South Texas Rednexican, with a great tan, to understand the joke.

Oh, I've seen it more than once. Movie was good...the soundtrack is great.

Who saw "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" in a theater?... 👂

Mr. Spicoli? Can't recall if I ever saw it in a theater. Doubtful. But seen it a couple of times over the years.

I saw Jackson Browne and Phoebe Snow in concert at St. John's University back in the 70's. (We used to sneak on their football field and play no equipment tackle games during those years as well.)
