I keep wanting to reply to this thread but the answer can be anything from "Be Good Tanyas" to Thelonious Monk.

I tend to be a jazz, (hard bop era from early 50's to mid 60's), and blues guy, (Mississippi Delta, Chicago, Memphis etc), but I like a lot of Americana, acoustic and roots music (like the Carolina Chocolate Drops et al).

Fortunately, Spotify has an algorithm that seems to work pretty well in assembling eclectic playlists for me from known and new artists.

Just to throw a song or two in, this is one that hooked me in the past few months...


And one from yesteryear...by an artist I saw at my buddy's jazz club in the early 70's.
