Good News!

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers.

We've finally heard Dave's results for his bone scan, and the cancer is not there. :thumbup:

He will most likely be undergoing routine (though not exactly fun) radiation therapy for the affected soft tissue -a much more encouraging scenario.

Thanks again, guys. We'll keep you posted, please keep doin' what you're doin'. :)

I guess well wishes and prayers really do work. That's great news, Mac. If even one person beats this God-awful disease, it is a major victory in my eyes. Continued smoke for you and yours.

Thank you all. I've just heard that Dave will be meeting with his doctors either today or early next week. I didn't quite catch all the details from Kathy as she was running out to work, but whenever the appointment is, they'll be discussing the particulars of his treatments.

I was surprized that this meeting hadn't already happened- :confused: -I would have expected it shortly after the last batch of tests results were in, and that was a couple of weeks ago. Maybe I shouldn't be surprized, and maybe it's a good sign.

At any rate, Dave is in very good spirits, and Debbie (a highly-trained nurse) will be going with him to the appointment. (Moral and Technical support.) :D

BTW- They find it hard to fathom the kind of support they are getting from strangers in 'some knives chatroom'. ;) They're catching a glimpse of the fact that the finest people in the world hang out here. :thumbup:
