I have what I believe was called a "Hudson Bay Camp Axe". But it's not a great kindling splitter. My Grandpa's full-sized axe is better. When i compare the Hudson Bay's edge profile to the one on my grandpa's old full-sized axe the Hudson Bay's seems too thick near the edge.

So i'm considering re-profiling the Hudson Bay axe but are there any measurements and tips available to follow?

I was in hobby lobby the other day and in the leather craft section they sell some leather ID tags like you would see on luggage. I picked up a 2-pack and made a tracing of that template and cut it out. Makes a nice looking, handy card that you don't have to worry too much about.
