Spyderco green Military is pretty sweet in CPM, D-2. If you can find one as it was a sprint run.

I am particularly fond of my Spyderco D2 Military...

Might want to look at a Queen stockman too. Almost 9 inches of blade edge in 4 or so inches closed up. (How do they do that ;)).

Insert benchmade 710 answer here.

Seki-cut makes some knives with d2, I have never used one but they seem to have a pretty good reputation.

I dont know what your pricerange is but bob dozier makes some custom knives using D2. Most are fixed blade but he makes folders too.

Sorry for the extra knives below. Look at second from the bottom - Spyderco S30V Native - available at Wally World <$40. The older Kershaws were my older EDC - the Damascus Leek was an autumn '07 acquisition - they are all US-made - but that Spyderco, my first, in S30V is a great EDC knife. I've had it for ~11 months - and it has opened a bunch of packages - still a shaver.

Dozier/Kabar makes a lightweight collaboration folder in D2 with a spearpoint blade, about 3" IIRC. It's a nice looking little knife, it was just a bit light for my taste.

Spyderco's CPMD2 has performed well according to those that have used them for a while. My D2 Millie and Para are recent purchases so they haven't gotten any kind of a workout from me yet. According to Spyderco's catalog they're both sprint runs, so you'll need to pick one up PDQ if you want one.

If you're looking for a big folder, check out the Microtech Socom manual. It's D2, 4" blade, .174" thick, I think. Very heavy duty and priced below a lot of other heavy duty folders. New Graham has several in stock.

Benchmade Bob - Get a Benchmade! I highly recommend the 710 D2, available from around one hundred dollars from your friendly neighborhood knife dealer. That money gets you great ergonomics, an excellent D2 blade, and the Axis lock.
