What's a good tough SMALL folder?

Wonderful. Just when I had about decided to pick up a titanium Salsa for office carry, you all have given me more to think about. So many knives...

my 2 cents: buck strider mini (about $100) or benchmade ritter grip (about $100) or benchmade 556BTD2 available thru cabelas for 69.99. Or guess what..a bm 705.

I would recommend the Benchmade 551 Griptilian or 556 Mini-Griptilian but you don't want a handle with zytel/FRN/Noryl GTX.

So, I'll recommend the new Spyderco Stretch or the Spyderco Persian!

Happy hunting,
Allen.

Let me throw in a new one. :D
I think you should take a look at the Camillus Cuda Quik-Action. Although the model is discontinued, you can easily find one on E-bay. This is my EDC since January, and I'm pretty hard on knives. No bladeplay, no chips, no edgerolling, just a little blunting, which is easily servicable. And don't forget the gadget factor! The opening mechanism is a really unique one, and although the slide disc looks a little wimpy, but in reality, just keeps on going. The 3 inch blade is thicker than any other folder this size (except for the Buck Strider) and the steel is a well heat-treated 154CM. You just can't go wrong with it.

Buck or Schrade Uncle Henry/Old Timer Series.
Come in a nice little holster, take a pretty good beating. See alot of construction workers with them.
