thanks. here is the link: https://www.bladeforums.com/threads/ti-mk4-dauntless.1566894/#post-17974936

the pics are gone now but it does say “polished” now that ive reread it. price was $425. i know i over paid because a new one is $450 so i figured maybe that demascus clip and the other backing which is included will offset the price I paid a little. like i said what piqued my interest was it was already sharpened by his KME system. so i can now put my own edge on it. and use it as an EDC. if i bought it new then i would of course not alter it to resell. as the one coming today is not the one i want. what i want is to snag the gold hex 21 version. that to me is a classier looking version of a many years old Sebenza iconic design.
(did y'all catch the “e” after the s this time)?
Usually the only 21s with a polished finish are the CG or the wood inlay models. If someone has "polished" the blasted handles of a PJ, then that's an aftermarket mod. If your particular model is truly "polished", it'll be a little more resistant to snail trails than the plain, blasted finish.

You might consider selling the milled clip to recoup some cost. I usually like a milled clip but the stamped stock clip of a CRK does such a nice job, I can't picture wanting to change it out.

I have a feeling the CRK that you're really looking for is a Large Inkosi.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I gave the the first, most succinct and most accurate definition of a snail trail...

They happen to all knives with use and have no effect on the functionality.

haha i think he was referring to the reason for my original post which a poster in another forum commented that a snail trail is what he thought “was the path the postman took the day his new knife was being delivered”.

Damn, sometimes reponses in various threads bubble up here like dragging a bloody herring though a pool of hungry pirannas... ;)

Thx. i looked online at the inkosi too as well as the uma. but I think they are more tank like by design. I do like the wilson combat version and the starburst scales (or whatever they nicknamed starburst).
i dont like small blades, but the 3.65 blades are a tad large for me but i can live with that over a small.
I should know what this coming 21 looks like any time now. tracking says its out for delivery!

The box just arrived. And Im more than happy with this purchase for the $425. this 21 was made 9/16/2016. It is in perfect condition. other than the clip being changed and the edge sharpened ... it does not appear to have ever left its box again. now i see what he meant by “polished” in ad. its not the handles or the blade. he was referring to the “blade edge” being of a polished finish, as in not a mirrored edge.

I emailed him to see what the clip was bought for as now Id like to see a similar clip on my small seb

Normally, i like everything in factory condition, but this clip is beautiful. it turns a 27 year old iconic knife design into something even classier looking.

I can try to add some pics from my iphone if anyone cares to see it the seb or the clip. He did post pics of it in a link I posted above. i thought the pics were gone, but they are there as thumbnails.

Looks like this one has to be a keeper now. And im still seeing that gold hex 21 in my near future to add to the family.

Oh Lord, when will it ever end? :( :D

Yeah but you spelled Damascus wrong this time.

Tsk tsk.

Sorry if I misspelled that. Did I not capitalize it? I took it off of the sellers ad. Please cut me some spelling slack as most of my education was in shop classes and I've never been to Syria!

expidia1 expidia1 In the sellers post I believe he is talking about if he put a polished edge on the blade with his KME and he says it is not as I read it. The clip is a Millit clip made by Millit Knives.

Yes, I re-read it and figured it to be that he was saying its polished, meaning the edge of the blade is polished and not a mirror edge (which Im going to do shortly).
Thanks for the Millit tip as I tried googling for one before and found nothing. I emailed the seller but he works different hours.

I’ll never forgive you! Lol

Strange, since that's not even a word. I thought speach-to-text was based on the English language:confused:
I don't know about that one, but "Speech-To-Text" is based upon the native tongue set on your phone, afaik.
