What's an SR-101 Bog Dog worth???

SR101 Bog Dogs are not discontinued, they just haven't gone into full production...yet.
D2 Bog Dog's have been discontinued.
I'd say the SR101 Bog Dogs should sell for about $90-$100 without a sheath
D2 Bog Dog's will go significantly higher, they were originally offered at $78.95 (no sheath)

What is your opinion on the SR-101 Bog-Dog for a camping, hunting, survival and outdoors knife. Will it do a better job than a Howling Rat or will the howling rat be a better choice? With the SR-101 not being coated will it be prone to rust? What it the purpose of the black coating on the HR, CT and BR? Cheers... :thumbup:

That is a real toughie. I don't have a SR-101 BD, but I USED to have both a HR and a D2 BD. My wife stole them both and they now live in the kitchen.
The HR was my first Rat and I love it dearly, but the BD runs very close. In the kitchen it's whichever one is the easiest to reach, they have become that interchangeable. I still like the HR's bigger belly though.
I'd say grab whatever one you can get into your hands the fastest and the other will be along in time. You WILL want both no matter which one comes first and I'm sure you will be happy with either. My wife sure is and she doesn't care for any of my other Rats OR Busse's.
