What's Been Going on in Stacy Apelt's Shop?

Everything went fine. Four hours from roll-in to the OR until they had me dress myself and start walking around. PT and OT cleared me and I would have gone home by noon if I could pee. Took a while for the bladder to wake up and then I was gone.
Thanks for all the prayers and good wishes.

I'll take it slow and heal up properly. No pain meds needed yet. Might take one at bedtime ... which may be fairly soon.
 
Yup, Colace BID and liquids all day long.
They also gave me Oxycodone/Acetaminophen. I doubt I will need it, but if I do it will be a short usage.
 
Yes, of course, it is one or the other. Slept like a baby last night.
Today, they have me starting on Celebrex. I'll see how that does before taking anything else.
 
Off all pain meds, bowels and all back to normal. Ditched the walker Monday night and only use a cane now. Hip is feeling much better.
Walked about a half mile yesterday. I'll be worship leader tonight for Christmas Eve services.
