What's been your most impressive knife

My Cold Steel 3V/DLC Master Tanto has been through a lot and still looks just lightly used. 3V is bulletproof and DLC is really something. Your hand will give out before the knife does.

My favorite knife is my Pohan Leu Bluephin that I picked up off the exchange some time ago. What's impressive about it is that Pohan doesn't use water jet or CNC. It's all done by hand. The amount of detail and perfection achieved is remarkable. (Top knife in the picture).

Not impressed...

Kizer Ki 423. Gorgeous Ti handle, flips amazingly on ceramic BB's. Best flipper I've ever owned.

I have to say the knife that I have been most impressed by recently is absolutely the Reate Valkyrie 2 great ergo's weight materials finishes just everything done right.

I know I sound like a broken record with all the Rockstead promotion, but they're really that good in my opinion.

I had many doubts about them from the duralumin handles, the high price tag, the claims about edge retention and sharpness, etc... Once I had my Higo-X in hand, it all made sense and I was immediately a fan. Considering my Chi and Higo have kicked everything else out of my pocket, It's hard for me to carry anything else nowadays.

So yea, Rockstead has impressed me the most, and it's fair to say that I'm a fanboy:D

Definitely the sog seal pup that bill K sent me.
The shape isn't exactly my style, but it's growing on me and has been on my side every single day since I got it. Just last night I noticed some tiny dings in the edge ( it was just getting dull ) and they easily came out in about 2min on my porcelain stone . I used it a whole bunch on Saturday to re fit and reshape a ball peen hammer handle and it worked well.

Any of the Big Chris knives I have ranging from 3V to S125V. Enuff said.

We know they're paying you, Blues... (kidding, totally kidding.)

I have to go with the CRK Umnumzaan. I was very fortunate to get one as a gift. I had read about all CRK quality but took a lot of it as hype. But once an example was in my grubby mitts, I was pretty astounded. Everything from ergos, to build quality, tolerances, sharpness, smoothness of blade deployment, the lock up, etc. It was pretty amazing. I had only been seriously EDCing knives for only a few years but that was a pivotal moment for me. It has set a precedent on what I buy these days. Whether it's on the lower end of the spectrum of a budget knife of something nicer, the 'Zaan has had an impact on just about everything I've bought since receiving it.

This one.

I cut with it, pry with it, and I've hammered it through thick rope without fail. And it only cost me $8.50 brand new.

I expect great performance from my "expensive" knives, but I don't expect it from a "cheap" knife. That's why this one has impressed me so much.

What made the Brous so surprising to me was the low expectations I had......he doesn't get much good press Kevin!! But the knife is very solid and sounds almost like a pistol shot on lock up. It's really a great knife!
Love your ur channel my friend......you need to do more comparison vids! You do a great job on those!

Most impressive for the money: GAYLE BRADLEY $128
Most impressive cutter: GAYLE BRADLEY
Most impressive fit and finish: SPYDIE TECHNO
Most impressive overall EDC: BM 940-1 (all this in a 2.4 oz package)

Mora companion. I had a popular custom Scandi in 3v that turned me off of scandis for a while. It just wasn't all that great. Then I just happened to throw a mora on a baryonyx order I had. Just to try it out because it was cheap. Now scandis are my favorite for wood carving projects. I will never buy a >3/32" thick scandi ever again. There's no reason for them IME.

The CFK Sukhoi 2.0 I had and sold because I could never use. It's a beautiful knife, I would have had to be very careful with it. That's not me.

I think the 4th owner has the knife now. It's probably still in lnib condition.
