Yo! OMG! $298!!! That way more expensive than the ones I was looking at! You guys have ridiculously expensive tastes! Please indulge me and justify this expense...for I thought knives and weapons were to be used for battle and survival. I couldn't bring myself to use a $300 knife while camping/hunting/shooting! Anyway, maybe this is my newie-ness showing but I'm just too damn broke to buy the mercworx seraphym...I guess I'll have settle for the Cold Steel Safe Maker I AUS 8A (~$50). That knife I could lose and not cry too hard...Late!

I can't decide which I want to get next, I would love a spyderco military or para-military but really prefer tip up carry... decisions decisions.

I don't own any Mercworks, but I do know that that name is synonymous with expensive. Not sure if they're worth it & I'll probably never find out.Plus push daggers are illegal almost everywhere. They only have one function I can think of & that's killing.

Damn straight...these types of knives are serious business and are a last resort...used exclusively on those that desire to give you great physical harm...

Yo! First off, jacktrades_nbk's choice is sick!!! I was actually looking at these last night but they seem rather expensive (well, at least for my broke a$$). As such, my next is purchase is a cheapo (440 ss) simple katana (o/all length: 39 1/2",Blade length: 28 3/4")
for katori practice outside the dojo. My nice one gets its scabbard all dinged up when doing iai-jutsu (sword-drawing art) in the garage/backyard. Late!

i always liked the push daggers, both aestheticaly and for their SD capabilities
that mercworx seraphym there looks like what a cs safemaker would dream :D
i know they are illegal, i know what they are made for, that is not the point
the thing is i like to have dedicated SD knives, not that im going or that i hope to use them, i just like the idea, and the looks of that knife
right now i own a spot that is my preferable SD carry
i also have a cs terminator push dagger, but i dont carry it anymore
yes, its a weapon but so is a gun, so ...better not get into the subject...
i dont think i would carry that seraphym that much, maybe at first for the novelty, the thing is i like it and i hope to buy it sometimes, which will not be very very soon, because i cant spend all my money on knives
the katana you buy , by the way, you aint going to carry it , never, but you still buy it , for practice, for personal skills development.
as for the use of the push dagger , or any knife for that matter, in a self defense situation that would require it, it would have to be very much life threathning, or else i wouldn even draw the knife
but if i have to defend my life or other ones life, i like to think i have a real weapon that means bussines, that gives me chances to get out of there alive, that i can put my trust in without question

be safe :D

I really like the way push daggers look, but never bought one, because I'd never be able to carry it anywhere.I can carry a handgun concealed, but not a push dagger.
I hear where you're coming from though jacktrades, about practicing with it.

I have no idea. Some parts of me are screaming for a green Browning Ice Storm, other parts for a Kershaw Skyline, still others for a Kershaw Zing or maybe an Oso Sweet, others for a Blade-Tech something or other, others for a Moore Maker.

Im planning on picking me up a Bradley mayhem here in acouple of weeks when the gunshow comes around. I need a new bali and this one looks like it will fit the bill nicley.

Well i checked my email today to find that i finally did something right last night when i was a bit intoxicated and that is order a Kershaw Lahar... been pinning over it for weeks and finally ordered it

I'm going to get a backup BM 710 aka best production knife of all time. only knife i have even considered getting a backup for.

My next knife? Spyderco Tasman Salt, Full Serrations.

ALMOST ordered it tonight, but decided I would make myself wait to order until I am enrolled in the EMT training class :]

I used to think the same thing, until I got a BM14205.It's just a hair better than the 710 IMO.

I'm looking at one of these..
Wish it came in D2, but 154CM is fine.

My next knife purchase is going to be a GTC Prisma; titanium frame lock, S30V blade, and black lip pearl inlay. It will be ready in Dec.

I had said earlier I wanted a Large Sebie or a Fallkniven then I ended up picking up a Schatt & Morgan Gunstock Folder in the Exchange and have not set it down since I got it. Super great build quality and a Beefy ATS-34 blade. Just a great "Pocket Knife"!!!!

I have no idea but it's time for me to consider a custom I think since I have over 50 production knives now, some VERY nice ones too.
