  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

It was such a pain that I gave up and made a long phone call instead. I'll use tape for now and try again after I get more flap discs for my angle grinder.

Now I'm getting ready to make a knife for Jarod as a thank you for all he's done for me.

He likes drop points and yellow and orange. He's never tried suretouch but he likes rubber knife handles. So all this makes sense:

You know "laugh out loud" when you don't actually laugh out loud is literally lying online....

I wasn't sure if it was totally an honesty thing or if you were just lying down on the job. In which case you might have a chaise lounge in the shop

I really don't think that most people actually believe you're laughing out loud per say It is just easier than typing laughing in utter silence or laughing in my head.

Jarod said he likes rubber but about the only thing that bonds it is CA glue, and even that starts to come undone with within a couple years. I told him the great thin about suretouch is that the material though layered with rubber comes with a G10 layer on both outside faces, allowing the type of permanent bond you can get from roughed up surfaces and just about whatever adhesive you want.

See the orange piece of suretouch I roughed up with 36 grit.

But yeah lol now just stands in for me as "I think that's funny and it should be acknowledged as such." There. The truth comes out.
