What's happening in the David Mary Custom shop?

Besides that one’s spoken for.

Sorry I’m a dweeb and I know it

Thank you for the kind words gentlemen.

Just talked to Peter's (they left me an email asking me to confirm my postal code) and she advised me that the blades are ready to ship. Had a brief chat with her, and told her about the "World's largest MagnaCut knife" that I had them heat treat last year, which was the first and only knife I had them work on so far, before the current order. I told her that experience gave me a good feeling about Peter's. She said that blade was the talk of the shop while it was there. 🤣

Sheath day today, and I tried to do it without a neck knife, since the one I was wearing recently got a clean up, new sheath, and boot out the door. So the sheaths went on hold, while I made good on my pledge to whip up one of those neck knives for myself. I'll finish it up tomorrow and make a sheath for it along with the rest of the current batch. I made this one specifically to serve me as a sheath making companion, based on all I have learned from previous knives I've had in that role.

With the questions is the magnacut run about sharpening it might be worth a dedicated thread? Something we can post our knives in and how we sharpen them for our intended uses. It might be fun to see what everyone does. With all the sharpeners out there and various skill levels.

Just a random thought.

Bill your foots.
