What's in the bag?

My Wave resides in the kitchen drawer, but when we travel it generally comes along in the glove box (or backpack if traveling by train or bus).

I do have several Leatherman models, but bought most used on that big auction site. I won't buy another. I'm basically a cheap skate and find the SAK+small pliers a smarter option for me.

For home use, I find a proper tool kit makes the most sense. Traveling light is another story.

Went on a long bike ride yesterday with my son. Setting up camp when I realise that the SAK Farmer on my belt was no longer there. I had a Camper in my bag though...

Last night I learned Knipex has released a new set of cobra pliers that is only 100mm long, aptly called the “XS.” I immediately ordered a set.

It’s not a multitool, but I keep these in my bag. This allows me to keep only a SAK in my pocket and avoid pliers-based multitools altogether.

I keep some Craftsman Robogrips in mine. I had to buy my Dad a new pair when I realized I wasn't giving them back, ha ha.

I keep a Leatherman Skeletool Topo w/Stammer attachement in my bag. It's pretty and highly functional.
