I have six different, of which all are razor sharp, except the ugly duckling, the half congress 2935, impossible to make it simply a cutter... whatever the time I spend trying to sharpen her !😟
Am I the only one or is there a snag with this lovely pattern? 🤔

If the other BBs sharpen up successfully for you, then the problem may rest with the blades in said knife, JP!!🙄

Don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it JoKr JoKr ! Pretty amazing!!!:thumbsup:

Jolipapa Jolipapa I have a Winchester Half-Congress but so far have not tried to sharpen it. It came reasonably sharp and remains unused. Sorry you've had your difficulty and hope you can find away to make it satisfactory. I have a couple other mysterious blades that defy all my feeble attempts to make a knife out of them... they just take up space in a drawer. :(

EDIT- emojis, forget about 'em !!!

I thought of a pro for my own knives many times, just never got around to it. Your Winchester is such a sweet knife it would be nice to be happy with it.
Once I repeatedly laid both sides of a Queen's blade hard against a belt sander, mostly out of frustration. The result (by dumb luck) was a thinned blade that took an edge and has since sharpened OK... but it does look a bit unprofessional.

Jolipapa Jolipapa Interesting point about the little Norfolk. It could be a size thing, I find small blades much more difficult to sharpen than large ones (giant kitchen knives excepted) They won't bite well on a Sharpmaker and on a system like DMT Aligner you can't clamp them well and leave enough edge exposed. Sometimes, I've found a Butcher's Steel to be reasonably good for smaller blades, kind of surprising.
Nevertheless, a beauty of a knife, like all BBs - Bardot included...;)

I did not have this problem on the Coffin or the Gunstock, though they also have small blades...
