What's in your bedroom?

Assuming you can't--or choose not to--keep a firearm in your bedroom, what blade do you keep near your bed for nighttime peace of mind?

Every night I sleep next to something short, fat and ugly--my Ka-bar Warthog.:p How about you?
 
I have a few in my drawer on my side of the bed. My EDC(JD Smith) and a Cold Steel Voyager XL, But they are just back-ups :)
 
My bedroom has enough weapons in it and now that I mentioned it I never thought about knives in there. Lets just say that if my house catches fire the fire department should let it burn cuz it will sound like ww3 just broke out and be especially dangerous to enter. Now I gotta go pick out some knives to keep close. Accesorize, Accesorize, Accesorize, but would goes good with a 12guage, 9mm, sks, or my little 357? I guess i'll just try the trial and error method. For some reason the two pistols and the rifle never find their way into the safe with the rest of my weapons. Although I am a firm believer that the best home defense weapon is a short shotgun I guess their would be room for a few knives.
 
I have an original KA-BAR USMC fighting knife, a 10" blade, handmade Brazilian light duty bush whacking knife, and a POS 10" blade Pakistani pig sticker - I really should though that rusty, worn out knife away, but I have trouble just throwing knives away ;).

M4 5.56 carbine. USMC KA-BAR combat knife. and my Kimber CDP .45 with night sights. I sleep very well.
 
Oh, forgot about my 12ga. Mossberg Persuader:D, about 3' from my bed:

Well right next to my bed is my 12ga with a light mounted on it, then next to that is my walking sword stick, in my night stand is my taurus 9mm in an uncle mikes holster with spare mag, then at the foot of my bed my footlocker has the rest of my knives. Oh and on the walls are a couple of wallhanger swords that are fairly sharp.
 
Well, I got a Dangerous, Jaw locking, Chop Licking, Tail Wagging, Insane Turning, Child Biting, Gun Ignoring, Pit Bull...
 
Wow. My collecton around my bed cannot compare.

I got a s&w boot knife, mini-bushman, sog governemt, a police-g10 and a fake wooden nightstick.

Did you say knives? yes, I do have a Case USMC, Khukri, drawer full of various fixed, folders, and SAKs. Not to mention my other toys like a British .303 which is way more firepower than needed to stop anything:D
 
Of course we can have knives only so....
I don't keep them terribly close to my bed, but my knives are close enough so that when I wake up and got off the bed, I could grab one. I have three folders on the desk, two more under it, and two larger fixed blade (one CS SRK and one Greco MST IV flat grind.)
A CRKT F4 is slightly further on the same desk and a CRKT P/K Companion is on another desk.
 
Under bed weakside - Spyderco Military, Brinkmann LX

Under bed strongside - Tonfa, EKI Commander, EKI CQC7.
 
A great big forged Howard bowie. Plus my S&W 9mm. Plus my ASP, my OC spray, Surefire 8N, all on my duty belt, except the bowie.
 
in my bedroom, secure from the kids.......

*glock 32C

*kahr P9 (my wifes)

*mossberg 500 w/pistol grip 12 gauge

*gerber mark 11 and MT SOCOM elite M/A

*OC spray

*surefire M3(mine) and Z3 and E2e (wifes)

*cell phone (2)

*if all else fails, my gun safe is in the master BR closet, lol, too many to mention, lol

everything is either up high, out of reach, or locked up, except my carry gun, which i wear 24/7, or have right next to me, and my wifes gun in her purse next to the bed. gotta think about the children, mine knows DO NOT TOUCH but its the friends that worry me, so we are pretty carefull at all times, as we should be........

For me. . .it's called a wife. Her prized possession. . .a razor sharp tongue !

There are days that it seems to be 10' long ! And I have the scars to prove it ! :(

Aside from the asordid firearms, boxes of pocket knives and remote controls, I keep a EK Bowie strapped to the side of the mattress, and a BM Eclipse clipped to the window shade next to my side of the bed.
