Whats in your bug out bag?

My bob is my edc kit so I carry my Gerber Yari and a CS Canadian Belt knife a stanley utility knife with a few 10pks of blades, my BK11, and a SAK Trekker this is in addition to the Spyderco Endura, and Vic Swisstool and Gerber EAB that I carry on me. In my car is the bigger fixed blades 18" Ontario Machete and Estwing Hachet and a CS GI Tanto minimum and then if doing land clearing theres usually more machetes and a bigger axe. Thats just the cutting stuff not the crowbars, hammers, assorted other tools. Guns are another story.
 
I have "emergency" kits in hydration packs in my truck and car along with water to fill the bladders. The idea is if I get stuck somewhere or am in an accident or other situation I will have what I need to get out/get help/get it fixed, so lots of things like wire, tape, cord, multi-tool, etc.

With that said, I have a Camp Tramp in the truck, and a Fehrman Peacemaker in the car. After much thought I decided I would feel really bad if my cheap knife broke and I was screwed when I had a better knife sitting at home not doing me any good!

I strongly agree with this perspective. A kit that's intended only for TEOTWAWKI and never gets checked until the day after Armageddon might as well not exist. A kit you keep handy, dig into, update periodically, and rotate perishables, really should be the best you can afford, and that best should be accessible for regular use -- as long as it returns to "The Kit" afterwards.

I have a couple of MREs, Canteen, bottled water, Ontarion pilots survival knife, extra socks, underwear, small survival kit, Medical kit, some lighterd from a pine stump. Lots of rope and string, Flash light, extra batteries, mess kit for cooking, folding saw and a playboy mag. haha,not really. Leatherman, matches, extra BDU pants. I think that is it.
 
well if I have to bug out in a hurry and dont know when/if Im coming back ALL MY KNIVES are coming with me(besides my edc all my knives are stored in messermeister knife rolls right next to my bug out bag)!!!That said in my bugout bag is a fiskars hatchet,leatherman supertool 200,and a ontario 12" machete that stay in there.
