What's in your fifth pocket?

It will be one of seven (one for each day of the week): William Henry carbon fiber Lancet, Spyderco Lil’ Native, Curtiss Nano, Microtech UTX-70, Hinderer Half-track, EOS Prawn, Fox carbon fiber Suru.

Generally speaking I have a Vic Small Tinker in my watch pocket and if there is no watch pocket, it will be in a regular pocket. On occasion I will have another folder with me. I don't generally see it as an absolute need as my little tinker cuts most of what I need cut day to day. Carry something larger in the woods along with the little tinker.

Sometimes I carry a small fixed blade, actually I do this fairly often as a second edc.

Well folks I must say...this is refreshing...a new member...been here since Wednesday...and didn’t start their time here with a “what’s my knife worth” thread.

Good to have you here S SkyStream . Looking forward to having you post more. Good topic.

Tell us a bit about yourself. I know you like front flippers and watch pocket knives. :)
Thanks. I just like unique knives and I've always liked to carry something that I can just put in my fifth pocket and forget about. I also edc a pistol and really only like to pocket carry that so it don't leave much room for a big knife. I work in the automotive industry and the only thing that really gets heavy use is my utility knife cutting cardboard all throughout the day and I can just easily swap out razor blades instead of having to sharpen knives constantly.

When It comes to knives I'm drawn to the deployment and locking mechanisms more than anything else. I would say my favorite brand overall is CRKT even though they use cheap materials. I just like how they have came up with so many unique designs over the years including the Fulcrum, Rollock and Snap Lock. I just like companies that offer uniqueness and value.

This leads me to talk about companies like Civivi and Kershaw. Civivi is what got me into front flippers because they are one of the only companies that offer a front flipper at a reasonable price and I was so impressed with the quality that I immediately became a fan of front flippers and Civivi. When it comes to Kershaw I, think their Launch series is what really sets them apart from other companies. They offer twelve different autos in various shapes and sizes all with CPM-154 steel, USA made and all for around $100. Every Launch that I have came out of the box sharp, blade centered with great action. I've heard of people having issues with blade bounce and failed lockups but I haven't had that problem with any of mine.

I wear slacks or khakis most of the time so I don’t have a watch pocket available. But, if I do, it would have to be my Cadet SAK or a pocket watch on a chain.

I do have a Christy Knife attached to the other end of the chain though.

I don't wear jeans, but as these style of knives go, I've made no secret of the fact that I am a big fan of the SE Dragonfly. Goes completely unnoticed but adds tons of utility to my carry.
