whats in YOUR fire kit?

Pretty much as everyone else:

Ferro rod (attached to knife sheath), always PJB's, then usually have some tindertabs, jute, military fuel jelly.

5 gallons of gasoline, a jug or charcoal lighter fluid a map torch and a few flares :D

Usually a bic lighter, a ferral rod and either char cloth or dryer lint.

I am putting a fire kit together as we speak. Good info here, guys. I mean, other than Upnorth's creepy ass avatar.

:D
Actually I try worst case scenarios and just use local materials now and then. If I only have my key chain fero rod then I'd better know how to use it effectively. And it has been plenty challenging in the soaking wet or snow covered ground.

I haven't been out much here in Colorado but so far it seems very similar to the woods I'm used to in Oregon, and I can get a fire going using just natural tinder up there. The fire kit makes it a whole lot easier if it's wet or damp out though.
