In the back though, there's my emergency roadside kit, FAK, bag of ice melter, case of water, I think that's it for now(aside from the garbage). I need to get a tow strap, some blankets/sleeping bag, candles, some food, and other such stuff for winter emergencies.

I have a dufflebag in the trunk filled with everything from extra set of clothing and hygine items, to flashlights, chem lights, hearing protection and eyewear, rain gear, a hatchet, first aid kits and tow straps etc. etc.

In my glove box I have my insurance, etc. a couple of lighters, a space blanket, and some paper towels. In the back seat I have a couple of machetes (just never took 'em out of my car), a blue tarp, and some ice cleats for winter. In the trunk I have a collapsible buck saw, square-nosed gardening shovel that I sharpened to break up snow and ice, as well as dig better, and another machete (the one that I actually intend for the car).

I also never go anywhere without one of my two gear bags that has a whole buttload of other goodies. But those are for personal carry.
